When students and staff return to school in Oxbow for the 2010-11 year, they will enter the doors of the Oxbow Prairie Horizons School. That was the name board members chose for the new facility, after receiving two options from the project committee in Oxbow.
A contest was held in April to name the new facility, with the school community councils sorting through the entries and forwarding them to the division office.
The new state-of-the-art facility will replace the existing two schools in Oxbow and all students will attend the new Kindergarten to Grade 12 building.
