Pangman (cpd) Pangman Days will be held August 6 to 8. It will start with a community supper on Friday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. in the Gazebo Park to welcome all new residents to the area. Burgers will be supplied, with potluck salads and desserts.

Pangman (cpd) Pangman Days will be held August 6 to 8. It will start with a community supper on Friday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. in the Gazebo Park to welcome all new residents to the area. Burgers will be supplied, with potluck salads and desserts. There is no charge to attend the supper, as it is sponsored by Pangman Co-op, Grainbelt Agencies, Bourassas, Radius Credit Union, the RM of Pangman and Oasis.On Saturday, Aug. 7, a pancake breakfast will be held on Main Street, hosted by the Economic Development Board. Then a Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. A variety of activities will take place at the swimming pool. On Sunday, August 8, the Amulet Heritage Society will host their annual picnic at 5 p.m., with a potluck supper for residents.Recent updates from the Sunnyview Place include Ruth Prentice becoming the newest resident on July 18. The residents holding a shuffleboard tournament on July 21, instead of their weekly bowling games. Nine residents motored on the Radvilles Kinsmen van, with three staff, to Weyburn where they stopped for lunch and shopping.Friday afternoons at the Care Home are movie days, with residents watching Legend of the Fall on July 23. Anyone who had any old western or other movies who want to lend them to the home are asked to contact Debbie Kessler.Visiting with Val Heustis on July 18 was her daughter Kelly and Evan Clifton and Kaden and Jayme from Regina.The first set of swimming lessons have begun at the Pangman Swimming Pool on the week of July 19. The second set of lessons will be held in August. From now until Aug. 20, the Pangman Swimming Pool will be holding aquasice fun-time sessions on Mondays through Fridays, starting at 8 a.m. The instructor is Sabrina Quigley.An outdoor wedding for Joanne James and Dan Adriene was held July 18, with over 30 people in attendance. The wedding was held on the farm near Pangman with Pastor Gary Penny officiating the service.A few rain showers have been spotted in the Pangman area on July 22, with the town receiving over six-tenths of an inch of rain in a few minutes. There were also high winds and a small amount of hail received.Family and friends gathered at the home of Peter and Candice Porter on July 10 to witness the baptism of Annabelle J. Sotropa, daughter of Reena and J. Sotropa of Calgary. Annabelle was born Nov. 22, 2009.Godparents were Trisha Sotropa of Dunmore, Alta., and Stan Ursu of Kayville. Father John Maeran of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Regina, officiated the ceremony. A barbecue supper followed the baptism.
