Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of January 17 to 23:
*In the early morning hours of January 23, a call was received regarding two males that had been discovered in a vehicle. Police responded and arrested the males for mischief and lodged them in cells for unlawfully entering a number of vehicles, where they were looking to steal cash and electronic equipment.
*Three males were arrested for break and enter after they were linked to an attempted break in at a local store, where damage had been done to the building.
*Police responded to a disturbance at a local bar on January 22. A male had flipped a pool table over and a fight was about to erupt. The individuals involved were removed from the bar and restitution for damage to the pool table is pending.
*On January 21, an unwanted guest was removed from a residence by police when she refused to leave.
*On January 20, police received a complaint of two males fighting near a local restaurant. When a customer drove by and told them to stop, both combatants slammed their fists on his vehicle. They left the area, however, police located them at a nearby motel and they were charged for fighting under the local bylaw.
*Concerned neighbors called police on January 19 when they heard yelling from a neighboring apartment, where the resident was having a disagreement with another person over the phone. The person was warned to keep the noise down or a charge would be laid.
*On January 18, a male was charged for fraudulently obtaining lodging when he failed to pay an outstanding bill at a local motel.
*Police attended an accident on Government Road, where a vehicle had collided with the back of another vehicle causing minor damage. No charges were laid.
*In response to a loud disturbance at an apartment building, police dealt with two individuals and told them to keep the noise down and to avoid contact with each other.
*On January 17, police attended an accident at the Wholesale Club parking lot. Two parked vehicles were damaged when an unoccupied vehicle that had been left in gear rolled into them.
*Police received a number of complaints regarding parked vehicles during this reporting period. Residents are reminded that when "no parking" signs are placed on the street for snow removal, their vehicles must be moved to an alternate location.
*Police dealt with 75 complaints during this reporting period.
