The Town of Coronach received funds from the Federal Government Safe Restart Program

The Town of Coronach received $38,358 from the Federal Government Safe Restart Program.

The Town of Coronach received $38,358 from the Federal Government Safe Restart Program. The funding is to support efforts to protect health and safety, prepare for potential future waves of COVID19 and facilitate the safe re-opening of local economies.

The Coronach Sportsplex and Coronach Early Learning Centre will receive a lump sum payment. The remainder of the funds will be used to support local business and community organizations as they navigate all the COVID-19 regulations. 

Businesses and community organizations will be able to apply for a one-time payment of up to $750.

The funds from the Federal Government Safe Restart will be distributed as follows: $10,000 to the Coronach Sportsplex, $2,000 to the Coronach Early Learning Centre, $21,353 to local businesses and community organizations and $5,000 for town needs, to be held as a short-term contingency fund.

COVID-19 has made for a difficult year. The Coronach Town Council is pleased to receive these funds and support local businesses and organizations.
