Registration for Weyburn's second annual Walk to Cure Diabetes took place at City Centre Mall on November 14 - World Diabetes Day. Participants then walked throughout the downtown area to show their support for the cause.

Kopec brought the walk to Weyburn last year in support of her nine-year-old son, Holden Duncan-Kopec, who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was one and a half years old. Holden addressed the crowd before the walk and shared stories about his life with the disease.
