WEYBURN – The Weyburn Exhibition Grounds will be busy with rodeo action from Friday, May 12 to Sunday, May 14, as junior and senior high school contestants take part in the Weyburn High School Rodeo, as part of the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association.
Action gets underway at 3 p.m. on Friday with the junior high events, and these go on to Saturday morning.
The senior high events start Saturday afternoon and extend to Sunday, all in front of the Weyburn fair grounds grandstand.
The junior events on Friday include barrel-racing, chute dogging, girls and boys break-away roping, ribbon roping, goat tying, bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback and poles.
On Saturday morning, the same events continue with the addition of team roping.
For the senior high set of events on Saturday afternoon, bareback and saddle bronc riding start the list, with barrel-racing, tie-down roping, break-away roping, steer wrestling, goat tying, team roping, poles and bull-riding.
Sunday morning will start with senior bareback, saddle bronc and barrel-racing, tie-down roping, break-away roping, steer wrestling, goat tying, team roping, poles and bull-riding.
