WEYBURN – Several wrestling clubs from around the province took part in the Barber Motors Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, held at the WCS Eagle gym, with Weyburn wrestlers placing well in their competitions.
In the Freshies age division, Madyx Weiss and Brysen Richaud both placed first; Lochlan Pirlot, Grady McLeod, Owen Pulfer, Cassius Henning and Ryker Lowe all placed second, and Meagan Kerr, Alora Fredrick and Anna Lanz were third.
In the Novice category, Connor Pocha and Rastyn Weiss won first place; Mirabelle Leroux and Rio Orr were second; Sophie McLeod was third, and Leiro Dayaan came fourth.
For Peewee males, Owen Arthur, Ezakiel Peralta and Landon Leroux won first; Hudson Fowler, Jep Furgason and Donavon Lanz were second, Bentley Izsak placed third, and Theoren Frazer was fourth.
In the Bantam males category, Ephraim Henning placed third.
For Cadet females, Khloe Higgins won first place, and for Cadet males, Chris Dayaan placed second.
