Letter: Build pipelines, fix equalization, or we proceed to separate

With regards to the Brian Zinchuk column , when the patch crashed in 2014, I became unemployed until March 2017.

In that time we cut everything to the bare bones. We did not holiday and had no debts, luckily, and we survived. I wonder if Justin Trudeau or Katherine McKenna could say the sameÌýthing? Oh right, they where born with silver spoons in their mouths.

I am sick of supporting the East while we in the West suffer lost jobs, lost industries, vets struggle, seniors struggle and families struggle. I was a proud Canadian. My dad fought in WWll to ensure we lived in a free country I wonder if he was alive today, what he would think?

I wear a poppy every October-November and have poppies displayed in our house, office and truck to remember the sacrifices. I used to proudly fly the Canadian flag in memory of my dad but now I fly a Saskatchewan flag. I firmly believe that Saskatchewan and Alberta need to threaten separation and if Mr. Trudeau doesn’t make some quick changes to pipelines east and west, fix the equalization joke and cut the carbon tax, we proceed.

I know it will be a tough task, but we are tough prairie people. I guess if we where SNC-Lavalin or Bombardier we be in great shape. I have no faith in Justin Trudeau. He is worse than his dad ever was. ÌýHe supports his Saudi friends before Canadians.

Sadly, I see separation is the only answer. I truly hope Mr. Moe and Mr. Kenny can get things done.Ìý
