WEYBURN – Weyburn’s largest annual auction will wind up on Saturday, April 6 as the Young Fellows Club of Weyburn host their 67th annual auction and banquet at the Weyburn Exhibition Hall.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the evening will include a prime rib supper at 6:30 p.m., and entertainment by the Duelling Pianos at 7:30 p.m. There will be an open bar for ticket holders from 5 to 8 p.m.
Tickets for the banquet portion of the evening are $100 each, and can be bought at weyburnyoungfellows.com, where the items up for bid can also be viewed.
The live auction will then be held with auctioneering to be handled by Winston Bailey and Jeff Tosczak, with the online auction to be closed by 9 p.m. when the live bidding starts.
There are hundreds of items up for bid online, and a number of special items will be on the block for the live auction.
Some examples of the major items up for bid include a three-day fishing trip to Northern Saskatchewan; Riders tickets and limo package; a $5,000 CAA travel voucher; tickets and hotel room to see the Minnesota Vikings, and similar packages to see the Blue Jays and Winnipeg Jets; Edmonton Oilers playoff tickets; and a custom-built 8-foot by 12-foot bar shed.
As with all fundraisers by the Young Fellows, all proceeds from the event will stay in Weyburn, to support projects and groups in the community, especially those that benefit families.
