Fraser Tolmie re-elected as MP for Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan riding

The Conservative Party of Canada's Party’s Fraser Tolmie has been re-elected for a second term as the Member of Parliament for the Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan constituency after thousands of voters cast their ballots during the 2025 federal election. 

According to Elections Canada, as of 9:07 p.m., Tolmie received 10,122 votes, or 75.1 per cent of ballots cast, during the April 28 federal election. As a result, Tolmie will head to Ottawa to represent the region, continuing this role.

Liberal candidate Tabitha Mukamusoni is in second with 1,841 votes or 13.7 per cent of the popular vote. This was an increase from the previous federal election when the Liberal candidate received six per cent of the vote. 

NDP candidate Britt Baumann received 932 votes or 6.9 per cent, which was a decrease from the previous federal election when the NDP candidate received 18.7 per cent of the popular vote.

People's Party of Canada candidate Chey Craik received 449 votes or 3.3 per cent, which was a decrease from the previous federal election when he received 11.6 per cent of the popular vote.

Green Party candidate Mike Gardiner received 133 votes or one per cent, which was roughly the same as the Green Party candidate received during the 2021 federal election.

These numbers are based on 100 of 201 polls reporting in; total votes cast so far is 15,355. 

Official results are expected to be finalized in the coming days as Elections Canada completes the vote count.
