Devoted crowds were still around until the fair's last moments on Sunday evening.

MOOSE JAW — The 2024 Moose Jaw Hometown Fair drew to a close Sunday evening as darkened skies and lightning typical of the yearly event weekend began to roll in — but not in time to limit the fun experienced by thousands of fairgoers who enjoyed otherwise warm and co-operative weather this June 23.

The third and final day saw a lesser attendance than its peak on Saturday, yet devoted crowds were still around until the fair's last moments on Sunday evening.

Most of the classics returned for this year's fair, including the Zipper, Fire Ball, Starship 3000, Tornado, and of course the traditional Ferris wheel, carousel, haunted house, and more.

Many of these last fairgoers may have darted out to a shower of rainfall, but nevertheless as a look at the smiling faces and an atmosphere of joyous excitement revealed, one of Moose Jaw's most popular summertime events proved to be another success and demonstrated the hometown fair at its finest.
