REGINA - On Jan. 23, police arrested a 33-year-old man following a two-month investigation into several property crimes in Regina.
Incidents included break-ins at businesses on Husum Road, Leonard Street North, and Hodsman Road, with stolen tools, diesel fuel, and a truck.
A separate July 2024 break-in involved stolen utility trailers from a business on Victoria Avenue East. One of those trailers was recovered near Fort Qu’Appelle
Search warrants were executed on a home, a separate garage, and vehicles. This has led to multiple charges:
- break and enter and theft;
- theft of auto;
- two counts possession of stolen property over $5,000;
- two counts possession of stolen property under $5,000;
- unsafe storage of a firearm;
- possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition;
- possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized;
- three counts breach of prohibition order for prohibited firearm;
- six counts of possession of identity documents;
- three counts fail to comply with condition of release order; and
- fail to comply with condition of an undertaking.
The suspect appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Jan. 24.
