Calvin Daniels

Calvin Daniels grew up on a farm near Tisdale, getting his start as a journalist at his hometown newspaper after winning a sports trivia contest in the paper.
He moved to Yorkton for a position at the then Enterprise with a focus on agriculture, and has remained with the same newspaper through a couple of name changes for more than three decades, earning him a Silver Quill Award from News Media Canada in 2020 for more than 25 years in the newspaper sector.
Over the years, Daniels has received media awards from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association and Saskatchewan Horse Federation. He has also earned 27 Premier Awards in the annual Better Â鶹´«Ã½s Competition first place awards from the Saskatchewan Weekly Â鶹´«Ã½ Association, along with a number of second and third place certificates.
Daniels has also authored eight books, three on hockey as a huge sports fan.
Currently he is the editor of Yorkton This Week.
