Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town!

Two chances over two weekends to meet St. Nick

If your goal is to meet the big man in red himself, you and your family have two chances to do so over the next two Saturdays.

Pint-sized, toy-making officials from the North Pole have revealed exclusively to The Outlook that Santa Claus will in fact be making his way to the regional area to help ring in the holiday season in style.

This coming Saturday, November 24, Kris Kringle will be making a stop by Lake Diefenbaker as the village of Elbow will be hosting its Santa Day events.  Santa will be arriving on Main Street at approximately 1:30, and from there the festivities move over to the Elbow Civic Center from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, where there will be games, sleigh rides leaving from the facility (weather dependent), pictures with Santa (bring your own camera), and free hot dogs and hot chocolate supplied by the Elbow Service Club.

From there, St. Nick moves on over to Outlook on Saturday, December 1 as the Outlook & District Chamber of Commerce presents Santa Claus Day.  Taking place at the Legion Hall, Santa is set to arrive by sleigh at approximately 11:45, and then he’ll be taking pictures from 12:00 to 4:00.  As well, there will be sleigh rides leaving periodically from the Legion, as well as a Scavenger Hunt, and over at the Reel Theatre, there will be two showings of the Christmas classic, ‘Home Alone’ at noon and 3:30.  Tickets will be available for the screenings at AG Foods and Riverbend Co-op until November 30.

As well, the third annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at the Outlook & District Museum at 5:00 pm, which will also feature holiday carols sung by the local community choir.

All of these activities and more will undoubtedly provide another memorable, festive Santa Claus Day in Outlook.

Better get working on those lists for Santa, kids!
