Access Communications nominated for five Tuned-in Canada awards

The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA) shortlisted Access Communications in five categories for this year鈥檚 Tuned-in Canada awards.

鈥淎ccess is connecting people across Saskatchewan every day with dynamic local programming on Access7,鈥 says Jim Deane, CEO, Access Communications Co-operative. 鈥淗undreds of volunteers across the province donate their time to Access7 community channels 鈥 bring you 2,000 hours of first-run, local TV programming each year.

鈥淚t truly is a labour of love and Access is honoured to be able to provide a place for communities to connect,鈥 Deane said.

The shortlisted nomination categories are: Best Public Service/Community Building Efforts; Best Local Programming, News; Best Local Programming, Sports; Best Local Programming, Entertainment, and Best On-camera Personality.

Access will compete against other shortlisted nominees in each of these categories during the public voting phase.

Canadians can vote at tunedincanada.com/vote until from May 24 until July 17.

The CCSA is an advocacy and buying group operated by members for members, connecting independent cable operators and their subscribers with cost-effective programming and equipment 鈥 while ensuring their messages reach regulators and government.
