FSIN issues its own amber alert on missing mother and son

SASKATOON — The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations executive has issued its own amber alert regarding a missing Indigenous woman and her son, who they believe are significantly at risk.

FSIN issued a release at about 1:40 a.m. Monday, seeking assistance in finding a missing Dawn Walker and her son.

Chief Bobby Cameron stated, “We demand the cooperation from all law enforcement to support our amber alert ...”

The Saskatoon Police Service issued its own appeal to the public shortly after 3 a.m.

The FSIN said many people, family members and community are extremely concerned.

“The last time anyone heard from Dawn was Friday night,” stated the FSIN release, describing Walker as fie foot six and 120 lbs. She operates a 2021 Ford F150, red in color with the first three digits of her license 451.

Saskatoon police say the full licence plate number is 451MRP

The FSIN says anyone who has heard from Dawn Walker or has any information that could help find her should contact the Saskatoon Police Service immediately at 306-975-8300.
