SASKATOON - Three Saskatoon teens are facing a number of charges following two incidents involving a firearm and bear spray Sunday night.
At approximately 11 p.m., on Jan. 15, Saskatoon Police were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Avenue H South for a weapons call. The complainant said three individuals went to the home and pointed a gun towards a window before fleeing on foot. No one was injured.
Around the same time, a 34-year-old man reported that he had been sprayed with bear mace by three individuals matching the suspect description of the initial incident. The victim was in a vehicle at Avenue H North and 29th Street West when the incident occurred.
Members from the Saskatoon Police Service Patrol and Canine units located all three suspects attempting to hide in the area, along with a can of bear spray. One of the suspects was successfully apprehended with the use of a Police Service Dog. He was assessed by paramedics in detention but no treatment was required.
Two 14-year-old males and a 15-year-old male are facing assault and weapons-related charges.
