OUTLOOK - Hockey pucks aren't the only thing flying down the ice at this time of the year as high school curling has been heating up in recent weeks; metaphorically, of course.

Over February 7 & 8, the West Central Districts event was held at the Outlook Curling Club located in the Jim Kook Rec Plex, where school teams from all over the region competed in the hopes of making it to the Regionals event coming up on February 28.

One of those successful teams was the senior mixed team from Beechy School, who went undefeated in action and will now be heading to the Regionals event that takes place back in Outlook over February 28 and March 1. Other games in the Regionals ranking are taking place over in Davidson.

Under the guidance of their coaches Kerry Ringrose and Shelby Ayers, the Beechy team consists of skip Julia Wiens, first Ashton Erikson, second Kyla Moebis, and third Ryder Ringrose.
