OUTLOOK - The month of March is known as Nutrition Month, and one local organization is hoping the public will support a much-needed service in the riverside community.

The clinic at the Outlook & District Health Centre now has collection boxes on display in support of the Outlook Food Bank, recognizing both the significance of the month and the need to support such an amenity in the community.

Collection boxes are located at the clinic's entrance, the staff entrance, and the long term care entrance.

Posting photos to social media on March 8, staff member Charmaine Bellamy was well aware of the importance that March brings with Nutrition Month and wanted to use the opportunity to have the health centre do its part to contribute to the cause, helping all in the community have access to nutritious food.

Throughout the rest of March, staff are advising people that if you find yourself at the Outlook Health Centre for an appointment, visiting loved ones, or to work, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for the local food bank. If people prefer to make a cash donation, you can reach out to Bellamy privately to make arrangements and to be provided a tax receipt.
