Outlook Under-15 Hawks advance in provincials action

Maidstone Jets visit the Jim Kook Rec Plex to decide who moves forward in provincials.

OUTLOOK - The amount of coverage given to local hockey teams of all ages in Outlook just may indicate one predominant thing:

The riverside community lives for the tried and true Canadian sport of hockey.

And the people show up to support it in droves, as seen at the Jim Kook Rec Plex on Saturday night, March 15 when the Under-15 Outlook Ice Hawks hosted the Maidstone Jets in Game Two of the U15 Provincials 'C' ranking.

The first game between the rosters on March 8 in Maidstone ended with a tie at four apiece, but this second one showed a fire in the Hawks that they weren't about to put out anytime soon as the game progressed.

When Outlook found themselves ahead on the scoreboard, they kept it that way and didn't let up, preventing the visiting Jets from taking off with any more points and keeping up the momentum.

When all was said and done, the Hawks were the victors at a score of 4-2.

The victory sees Outlook move further into the provincial ranks, with the U15 squad's next games set to be against the Cabri Bulldogs, who bested the Langenburg Warriors in their recent pair of games. Game times were confirmed earlier this week, with the Ice Hawks set to visit Cabri for Game One on Sunday, March 23, while Outlook will host Game Two on Sunday, March 30 at 1:00 pm.
