YORKTON - A local barber shop was turned into a music venue Sunday.
Well-known Saskatchewan performer Jeffery Straker performed at The Parlour Barber Shop on Second Ave. in Yorkton.
Straker, who was raised on a grain farm four miles east of Punnichy, Sask. has been performing music for years.
Through the years Starker has garnered significant recognition, including having won the Saskatchewan Music Award as Roots/Folk Artists of the Year.
Local area music fans might recall Straker was in the area celebrating fifty years of the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils in 2019 doing shows in both Yorkton and Langenburg.
