YORKTON - The Parkland Valley Male Soccer Team won Silver Medal at Saskatchewan Summer Games held in Lloydminster July 21-27.
They beat Rivers West (2-1) and South West(4-1) in Round Robin which placed them second overall and earned them a bye to the semi final against Regina where they won against Regina (2-1). This sent them to the final gold medal match against Saskatoon.
The final for Parkland Valley was versus Saskatoon. Regular time saw the game end 0-0. So it went into two, five-minute overtime’s and was still 0-0.
The Shoot outs ended 4-4, with the game going to sudden death shoot outs where they unfortunately lost. These boys played their hearts out! They gave it their all and left it all out on the field.
