YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers have added to the team’s coaching staff for the upcoming SJHL season, inking Pierre-Luc Simeon as assistant coach.
“Pierre-Luc brings a ton of enthusiasm and it is evident that he absolutely loves the sport of hockey,” said head coach Emery Olauson in a team release. “He has an unwavering passion for developing players, building teams, and competing that will contribute to the success of our organization and the development of our players. I am very excited to welcome P.L. and his family to Yorkton and adding him to our coaching staff.”
Simeon has been coaching in Quebec the past nine seasons, helping lead his last team Cegep Beauce-Appalaches Condors of the QJHL to the top of the league standings two of the past three years.
The assistant addition follows an earlier move this summer to extend Terrier head coach and general manager Emery Olauson for four years.
“Emery has shown exceptional leadership and dedication to our team, and we are confident that this extension will bring stability and continued success to our organization,” noted a team release. “We look forward to the future under Emery’s guidance and are excited about the potential for even greater achievements in the years to come.
