LOON LAKE – A man was charged with trafficking crack cocaine and methamphetamine after police caught him with open liquor in public.
Officers from Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Loon Lake RCMP were doing proactive patrols in Loon Lake when they saw a man leave a home on 2nd Avenue carrying an open container of alcohol. They charged him under the Alcohol Gaming and Regulation Act. They found approximately 65 grams of methamphetamine and 52 grams of crack cocaine when they searched him during the arrest.
A 19-year-old man from Loon Lake was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Loon Lake Aug. 3.
