Battlefords RCMP quashes public fear over attempted abduction report

The RCMP investigation is concluded and they say based on evidence collected, officers have determined there was no criminality involved or risk to the public.

Battlefords RCMP say they are releasing this information to assure the community that no risk was identified after their investigation. 

BATTLEFORDS – RCMP have determined that there was no criminality involved or risk to the public in a June 20 report of an attempted abduction on 110th Street near St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford.

Battlefords RCMP say they are releasing this information to assure the community that no risk was identified after their investigation. 

Battlefords RCMP had immediately responded after the report and officers conducted extensive patrols and continued it as a priority investigation.

Their investigation is concluded and they say based on evidence collected, officers have determined there was no criminality involved or risk to the public.

Battlefords RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for spreading awareness on this investigation as it serves as a reminder of one of the many different types of calls for service officers are committed to responding to and thoroughly investigating after a report is received.
