NORTH BATTLEFORD – Tami Falcon, from Biggar, has been sentenced to 295 days in jail for her part in an incident where two Rosetown RCMP vehicles were rammed earlier this year. She was sentenced in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 18.
Falcon, 22, was arrested on Feb. 3 by Biggar RCMP and charged with break and enter and flight from police. Kindersley and Rosetown RCMP tried arresting Falcon, and her co-accused 26-year-old Derrick Seefried from Biggar, after a break-in at a home in Eston.
Kindersley RCMP say that they responded to the break-in just after midnight on Feb. 3 and later located the silver BMW believed to be involved. They tried stopping the vehicle on Highway 30 but the driver refused to stop.
About two hours later, Rosetown RCMP spotted the silver BMW in town and tried stopping the car. The driver refused to stop and rammed two RCMP vehicles while fleeing.
Seefried was arrested by Biggar RCMP on Feb. 7 in Biggar. He was denied bail in Saskatoon Provincial Court in June.
