Fire at Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan causes $10K in damages

The Saskatoon Fire Bylaw Inspector attended to support anyone who may have been homeless.

SASKATOON – A fire below Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan has caused about $10,000 in damages.

Saskatoon Fire Department received a report at about 7:46 a.m. on Dec. 12 that there was a fire along the riverbank below Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan in the 900 block of Spadina Crescent East. 

The fire originated under the deck from an open-air fire that was left unattended.

The Fire Bylaw Inspector attended to support anyone who may have been homeless. No one was identified as needing help. There were no injuries.
