NORTH BATTLEFORD – Update: RCMP say their police operation has concluded and there is no threat to public safety. North Battleford RCMP would like to thank the public for their cooperation in this matter.
Original story: There is an increased police presence near Discovery Co-op Mall in North Battleford as Battlefords RCMP respond to an ongoing investigation.
Police ask residents to stay clear of the area at 9800 Territorial Drive. Motorists are asked to follow the direction of officers on scene.
Officers will be in the area and conducting patrols for an undetermined amount of time as police continue to investigate.
Police say an update will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
