SASKATOON – Police have launched an investigating after a man was robbed and stabbed on a street in Saskatoon Wednesday night.
Saskatoon Police Service say they are asking the public for any information or video evidence relevant to the aggravated assault.
They say that on Feb. 15 at around 8 p.m., they got a statement at the hospital from the 45-year-old victim. He was walking in the area of Avenue R South and 21st Street West when two people armed with a knife approached him and demanded his property. A brief struggle followed and the man was stabbed several times resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects and victim weren’t known to one another, say police.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
