MEADOW LAKE – A 29-year-old man facing drug and weapons-related offences remains in custody.
John Arnold had an appearance in Meadow Lake Provincial Court May 8 and his matter was adjourned to May 29 to enter an election.
Arnold was arrested after RCMP raided a home on the 500 block of 2nd Street West in Meadow Lake in March. He was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking methamphetamine, three counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition while prohibited, two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, and two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Meadow Lake RCMP executed the search warrant and seized about eight grams of methamphetamine, five grams of cocaine and crack-cocaine, two firearms, ammunition and other weapons.
