MEADOW LAKE – The Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a search warrant at a home on Flying Dust First Nation as part of a drug trafficking investigation. They arrested a woman and seized drugs on Nov. 19.
Officers seized about 21 grams of cocaine, nine grams of cannabis, a quantity of pharmaceutical-style pills, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a pellet gun, and a sum of cash.
Candice Lachance, 32, from the Flying Dust First Nation is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. She is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Dec. 18.
Meadow Lake RCMP and Pierceland RCMP assisted in this investigation.
The Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team (SERT) consists of Saskatchewan RCMP's Crime Reduction Teams (CRT) and Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST), as well as the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT).
