PRINCE ALBERT – A 68-year-old Prince Albert man charged with sexual assault and numerous child porn offences has been released on bail.
Brian Hillary Campeau had been in custody since his arrest in June. He was granted bail in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Nov. 23 and is scheduled back in court Dec. 7.
Campeau was arrested after Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit, or Sask. ICE, and Prince Albert Police Child Protection Unit raided a home Prince Albert and seized several electronic devices. He is charged with making child pornography, making available child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, sexual interference, sexual assault, and committing an indecent act.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
