Police investigate shooting at apartment, stabbing at restaurant

A man was shot at an apartment on Feb. 6. Another man was stabbed outside a restaurant on Feb. 2.

SASKATOON – Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) is investigating a recent stabbing and a shooting.

A man was shot at an apartment in the 300 block of Avenue R South just before 1 a.m. on Feb. 6. The 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

There is no suspect description available.

Another man was stabbed outside a restaurant in the 2300 block of Preston Ave. just before 3 a.m. on Feb. 2. The man was approached by two people who had exited a nearby vehicle and there was a physical altercation.

The 26-year-old man was stabbed several times and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.

The SPS Serious Assault Unit is investigating.
