MELFORT – Melfort RCMP are investigating a robbery at a business on Main Street in Melfort where employees were threatened by three suspects with a knife and hatchet.
On Oct. 14, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Melfort RCMP received the report and officers immediately responded. Their investigation determined three individuals, one female and two males, entered the business. The suspects threatened and assaulted two employees of the business with a knife and hatchet. One of the employees received minor injuries during the incident. The suspects fled. One bottle of liquor was reported as stolen to police.
The female is described as a teen or a young adult, approximately five-feet tall with a slight build. She was wearing all black clothing, including a black hoodie with white strings, and black and white running shoes.
The first male is described as approximately 18 years old, 5-foot-9 with a slight build. He was wearing all black clothing and a black medical mask.
The second male is described as approximately 18 years old, 5-foot-8 with a slight build. He was wearing all black clothing, including a hoodie with the hood obscuring his face. The hoodie has ‘Nirvana’ written on it in large white lettering, with a white circular design beneath.
