SASKATOON – A 26-year-old man faces drug trafficking and weapons-related charges after Saskatoon police concluded a drug trafficking investigation.
At approximately 4:03 p.m., Feb. 13, the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Crime Reduction Team (CRT), with help from SPS Tactical Support Unit (TSU), executed a search warrant in the 1600 Block of Idylwyld Drive. Cash and cocaine were seized from the man when he was arrested.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Feb. 13, the CRT and TSU executed a search warrant in the 100 Block of Saguenay Drive. In the home, investigators seized cocaine, fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, a prohibited pistol magazine, a machete, and other contents consistent with drug trafficking. A search of a vehicle driven by the man resulted in the seizure of cocaine and methamphetamine.
In total, police seized a Ford Edge SUV, $6,990 in cash, 117.6 grams cocaine, 37.1 grams methamphetamine, 26 fentanyl pills, a prohibited 30 round pistol magazine, and a machete.
The man as charged with drug and weapon offences and possession of proceeds of crime.
