SASKATOON – A Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) officer was assaulted in SPS Detention on Saturday evening.
A 31-year-old man who was appearing before a Justice of the Peace in SPS detention around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 on unrelated charges tried to leave the room and was being aggressive, say SPS. He went towards an officer and hit him the constable in the face causing a minor injury.
The man has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
