Saskatoon police seize drugs, vehicles, and make arrests

The Saskatoon Police Crime Reduction Team, with help from the Tactical Support Unit and patrol, arrested man and woman believed to be trafficking cocaine at a business in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North.

A search warrant was executed at an address in the 1100 block of 12th Street East where officers located and arrested a 21-year-old wanted man and seized 112.3 grams cocaine, 6.6 grams, methamphetamine, $2,080 cash, an expandable baton, a prohibited knife, body armour, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, and a 2008 Lexus ES350.

SASKATOON – Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Crime Reduction Team have finished a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the arrest of two people followed by the execution of a search warrant and a third arrest.

At around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 24, the SPS Crime Reduction Team, with help from the Tactical Support Unit and patrol, arrested man and woman believed to be trafficking cocaine at a business in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North.

A search warrant was then executed at an address in the 1100 block of 12th Street East where officers located and arrested a 21-year-old wanted man and seized 112.3 grams cocaine, 6.6 grams, methamphetamine, $2,080 cash, an expandable baton, a prohibited knife, body armour, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, and a 2008 Lexus ES350.

A 33-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from Saskatoon, have each been charged with several drug- and weapons-related offences. The man was also charged with possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

In addition to being unlawfully at large and in breach of court-imposed conditions, the wanted man arrested during the search warrant has also been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
