Suspect arrested last week by Crime Reduction Team out on bail

PRINCE ALBERT – A 22-year-old man who was wanted by police and arrested last week, was granted bail in Prince Albert Provincial Court Wednesday.

Prince Albert Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team had arrested Richard Budd April 5 on an outstanding warrant for breaching court-ordered release conditions. Budd was located in the area of 9th Avenue and 15th Street. He tried evading police by running from them but officers apprehended him after a short foot pursuit.

Budd faces numerous firearms-related charges and resisting a peace officer. He is back in court April 26 to enter an election.

The charges against him haven’t been tested in court.
