Telsa Morin & Linda Sutherland appearing in court Monday for murder

Saskatoon police haven’t identified the victim yet. She was found injured in the 300 block of Avenue H South in Riversdale neighbourhood, which is known gang territory.

Police say the suspects and the victim appear to be known to each other. 

SASKATOON – Telsa Jade Morin and Linda Florence Gladys Sutherland are appearing in Saskatoon court Monday morning on charges of second-degree murder in Saturday’s homicide. Saskatoon police haven’t identified the victim yet.

At 1:22 p.m. on June 10, officers were dispatched to a weapon’s call at a residence in the 300 block of Avenue H South in Riversdale neighbourhood. The block is littered with gang tags spray painted on buildings and even vehicles and is known gang territory. 

When patrol officers arrived, they found an injured woman. Police and Medavie attendants began life saving measures and she was transported to the Royal University Hospital. The woman succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

Major Crime and Forensic Identification members are currently investigating.

Police say the suspects and the victim appear to be known to each other.
