PRINCE ALBERT – A trial has been set for April 2024 in Prince Albert Provincial Court for one of the men, Jonathan Napope, charged in an armed robbery where a man was shot.
Napope, 28, remains in custody. His co-accused, 19-year-old Skylar Halkett also remains in custody until his preliminary hearing, which is scheduled for March 14, 2024.
A third accused, 20-year-old Michael Fourstar, has been released. He was scheduled back in Prince Albert court Nov. 29.
The three were charged in connection to an incident on Sept. 8. Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) say that a male victim was approached in the 400 block of 13th Street West by two unknown men who robbed and shot him in the leg.
Given the random and violent nature of the crime, and the close proximity to a school, PAPS had immediately deployed a large number of police resources.
Napope and Fourstar were arrested right away and Halkett was arrested about three weeks later.
