Turtleford RCMP investigating armed car jacking Monday morning

Two suspects fled in a red 2016 Dodge Journey with Saskatchewan license plate 740 LEA and a dark blue SUV with gold trim, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban.

TURTLEFORD – A man was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint after a woman flagged him down on Highway 796 by Crystal Bay just before 7 a.m. on Oct. 23.

Turtleford RCMP say their investigation determined a motorist was flagged down by a woman. When the motorist stopped, she pointed a firearm at the driver. A man then assaulted the victim. The man and woman then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim reported minor injuries to police.

The female suspect is described as having her hair up, possibly in a bun. The male suspect is described as having a thin build and he was wearing a ball cap.

They fled in a red 2016 Dodge Journey with Saskatchewan license plate 740 LEA and a dark blue SUV with gold trim, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban.

Turtleford RCMP are asking the public for information.
