SASKATOON – A 34-year-old woman is facing numerous charges after allegedly ramming two Saskatoon police cars Thursday morning.

Police say the driver refused to get out of the vehicle and revved its engine multiple times before driving ahead and hitting a police cruiser.  She then backed up and hit a second police vehicle.

The incident happened at about 3:30 a.m., on Dec. 14, after patrol officers observed a red truck, known to be stolen, travelling in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W South. They tried to stop the truck but the driver fled briefly before coming to an abrupt stop at 21st St. West and Ave. W South.

The woman was eventually removed from the truck and arrested.

She is charged with two counts of assault, failing to stop, theft of a vehicle, impaired driving, refusing a breathalyzer, possession of methamphetamine, obstruction, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
