Woman stabbed by two males in attempted robbery in Saskatoon

Two males demanded a woman's property before stabbing her and fleeing Friday morning.

SASKATOON – A 22-year-old woman was stabbed by two males she didn’t know, say police.

Saskatoon Police Service says that the woman was walking in the 1400 block of Idylwyld Drive at about 9 a.m. on Friday when she was approached by two males who demanded her property before stabbing her and fleeing. The suspects left empty-handed, say police.

She was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police didn’t say whether the male suspects were believed to be youth or adults.

SPS says the investigation is ongoing and any person or business with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
