NIPAWIN — The Town of Nipawin is preparing for its big date. The community will celebrate its 100th anniversary from July 11 to 13.
“This landmark event provides a unique opportunity to honour our community’s rich heritage and the hard work of past generations, while also strengthening our bonds through shared experiences,” said Chelsea Corrigan in leisure services report.
The Town of Nipawin is planning a schedule of events, with many activities set for three days. The Nipawin exhibition fair will begin right after the 100th birthday celebrations on July 14.
The celebration will feature a variety of attractions, including live bands, bouncy castles, food trucks, a pancake breakfast, a parade and more.
Nipawin town council approved $20,000 for the fireworks display. The last time the Town of Nipawin budgeted money for fireworks was in 2017.
Fireworks are expected to open the weekend celebrations.
