It was a night of influences at the last Performer鈥檚 Cafe of 2015 at the Humboldt and District Gallery on Nov. 19. Melfort鈥檚 Jodie Hergott took the headline spot for the first time along with bandmates from 40oz Philosophy.

Dan Danielson, author of 鈥淢emories of a Suitcase Farmer鈥�, spoke on Nov. 17 about his book at the Community Gathering Place. Starting from the beginning of putting together his book, Danielson explained how everyone is capable of writing a book.

Local talent will be the focus of a new initiative announced this week by the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts. To be held March 5 and 6, On Stage at the Dekker Centre will be a showcase for performing artists from the Battlefords and area.
