Wednesday proved to be an interesting day in the newsroom, especially for staff reporter John Cairns. Cairns provided coverage in the Oct. 3 edition of the News-Optimist of Gerry Ritz's presentation to the North Battleford Rotary Club Monday.

Henri Dutilleux, Claude Debussy, Frederic Chopin, Francis Poulenc and Franz Liszt. These are the composers whose works Thomas Yu chose to play at the final concert of the Marysburg Festival of the Arts summer concert series on July 28.

He takes photographs of things that catch his eye. The new local artist featured at the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery (HDMG), Carlos Correa, takes photographs while on the road for his job at Access Communications.
