MEADOW LAKE – A man accused of assaulting someone and discharging a firearm in the incident has made bail.
Forty-year-old Miles Victor Lasas of Waterhen Lake First Nation was granted bail after a show cause hearing on Sept. 12 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.
Miles Lasas’ co-accused, 32-year-old Dylan Lasas is still wanted in connection to the assault and is considered armed and dangerous.
According to Meadow Lake RCMP, they got a call on Aug. 31 that two armed men assaulted a man in the Flotten Lake area and shots were fired from a firearm. Police didn't specify whether the victim was assaulted with the firearm or shot with the firearm.
Miles Lasas was arrested at a home on Waterhen Lake First Nation on Sept. 1 and police released Dylan Lasas’ photo warning the public not to approach him.
Police charged Miles Lasas and Dylan Lasas with discharging a firearm with intent and assault with a weapon.

Miles Lasas is back in Meadow Lake court on Oct. 3 to elect how he wants to be tried.
The charges against the accused haven’t been tested in court.
