P.A. man facing child pornography offences seeks bail

ICE and P.A. Police raided a home in Prince Albert on June 30 after identifying child pornography offences were occurring

PRINCE ALBERT – A 53-year-old Prince Albert man charged with making and possessing child pornography is seeking bail.

Troy Lester had another appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday and a bail hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 3.

Lester has been in custody since he was arrested by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit June 30. Investigators with Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Prince Albert Police Service patrol officers had executed a search warrant at a home, which had been identified where the offences were occurring. 

The charges against Lester haven’t been tested in court.

The ICE Unit includes investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. They investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
