WATERHEN LAKE FIRST NATION - Two males have been arrested after a report of a shooting at a residence on Waterhen Lake First Nation.
Around 6:15 p.m. Feb. 8, Meadow Lake RCMP received the report of a shooting in which one male was reportedly injured and was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries. RCMP do not have an update on the victim’s condition.
The police issued a release warning the public not to approach the suspects who had left the scene in a dark coloured truck and an hour later, at 8:30 p.m., they reported the suspects had been arrested.
No other injuries have been reported to police in relation to this incident. Meadow Lake RCMP asks that the public report all tips to the RCMP by calling 911 in an emergency and 310-RCMP in non-emergencies.
