An annual event is hoping for sunshine and dry conditions next weekend. The 10th annual LVW Baseball tournament in Muenster is set for June 26-27.

In Battlefords Senior Ladies' Soccer League action Wednesday night, Sweetgrass Chicks with Kicks beat Saulteaux 7-0 at the North Battleford City Track.

The Unity Bantams were at the flats Monday and lost 5-1 to the Edam Ladies. Edam led 2-1 until scoring three runs in the fifth inning. Tami Duhaime was the winning pitcher.

That is how senior baseball is supposed to be played. Friday night, the undefeated North Battleford Beavers took on the 5-1 Wilkie Brewers at Beavers Lions Stadium.
